Y splitter

This circuit lets you split up an input signal to an arbitrary number of outputs using only resistors. The bad news is there is an attenuation of the signal. Enter the desired impedance and the number of outputs to find out the correct resistor value and the attenuation.

Z   Ω
N

R   Ω
A   dB

T attenuator

This circuit attenuates an input signal while maintaining the impedance. Enter the desired impedance and attenuation to find the resistor values or enter resistor values to find the resulting impedance and attenuation.

Z   Ω
A   dB

R1   Ω
R2   Ω

If you want to attenuate a differential signal just use resistors in both legs - and divide the series values by two.

Z   Ω
A   dB

R1   Ω
R2   Ω

π attenuator

Here is an alternate attenuator form. Change any value and the other three values will change as well.

Z   Ω
A   dB

R1   Ω
R2   Ω

This is the differential version of the π attenuator.

Z   Ω
A   dB

R1   Ω
R2   Ω
